Tencent Music is a music streaming service provider with 800 million monthly active users. The music library contains data of all forms and types: recorded music, live music, audios, videos, etc. We stored and processed most of our data in Tencent Data Warehouse (TDW) ClickHouse excelled in dealing with flat tables, but it was a huge waste of storage resources to pour all data into a flat table and partition it by day.
